STEPS TO FREEDOM IN CHRIST

The Bible says there is only one way to Heaven

Jesus said to him: “I am the way, the truth, and the life. No man comes to the Father except through Me.” (John 14:6 NKJV)

Good works cannot save you.

“For by grace are ye saved through faith, and that not of yourselves; it is the gift of God, not of works, least anyone should boast..” (Ephesians 2:8-9 NKJV)

Trust Jesus Christ today! Here is what you must do:

1.  Admit you are a sinner.

“for all have sinned, and fall short of the glory of God;” (Romans 3:23 NKJV)
“Therefore, just as through one man sin entered the world, and death through sin, and thus death spread to all men, because all sinned-“ (Romans 5:12 NKJV)
“If we say that we have not sinned, we make Him a liar, and His word is not in us.” (1 John 1:10 NKJV)

2.  Be willing to turn from sin (repent).

Jesus said: “I tell you, no; but unless you repent you will all likewise perish.” (Luke 13:5 NKJV)
“Truly, these times of ignorance God overlooked, but now commands all men everywhere to repent,” (Acts 17:30 NKJV)

3.  Believe that Jesus Christ died for you, was buried, and rose from the dead.

“For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life.” (John 3:16 NKJV)
“But God demonstrates His own love toward us, in that while we were still sinners, Christ died for us.” (Romans 5:8 NKJV)
“that if you confess with your mouth the Lord Jesus and believe in your heart that God has raised Him from the dead, you will be saved.  For with the heart one believes unto righteousness, and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation.” (Romans 10:9-10 NKJV)

4.  Through prayer, invite Jesus into your life to become your personal Savior.

“For with the heart one believes unto righteousness, and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation..” (Romans 10:10 NKJV)
“For whoever calls on the name of the LORD shall be saved.” (Romans 10:13 NKJV)

What to pray (or pray something similar from your heart):
Dear God, I am a sinner and in need of forgiveness. I believe that Jesus Christ shed His blood and died for my sin and rose again defeating the power of death. With your help, I am willing to turn from sin. By faith, I now invite Christ to come into my heart and life as my Savior and Lord.

“But as many as received Him, to them He gave the right to become the children of God, to those who believe in his name:” (John 1:12 NKJV)
“I will be a Father to you, and you will be My sons and daughters, says the Lord Almighty.”
(2 Corinthians 6:18 NKJV)
“Therefore if anyone be in Christ, he is a new creation: old things have passed away; behold, all things are become new.” (2 Corinthians 5:17 NKJV)
